About Us
The Aurora Chamber of Commerce (the "Chamber") is dedicated to the success of its members through promotion of the commercial, retail and industrial enterprises in Aurora. Aurora has a diversified and growing business community and the Chamber is an influential and member-driven association that exists to make Aurora a place to prosper.
The Chamber has grown to become one of the province's most successful. Sixty-five percent of our Town's Business Community are members. This is unprecedented amongst Chambers across the province. The Chamber currently enjoys a strategic relationship with the Town of Aurora, an important partnership for both and is an integral part of sustaining and recognizing local business and attracting new enterprise to our community.
In October 1985, the Chamber became active after a period of non-operation in Aurora. At that time a sales trailer was located at the intersection of Yonge and Industrial Parkway South, with a temporary sign announcing it was home for the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. In 1985 our membership stood at 110 individuals. Today, our Chamber boasts just over 750 businesses and 1,000 individual members.
Over the years, a number of individuals serving on our volunteer Board of Directors and our dedicated Staff continue to work diligently at providing membership value so that our impressive growth continues.
