29th Chamber Golf Classic 2010
at RedCrest Cardinal Golf Club
Kettleby, ON
Monday, June 14, 2010
The 29th Annual Chamber Golf Classic was held at RedCrest on June 14th. Fortunately the weather held up for us and it was a fabulous day! This sold out event was a wonderful opportunity for Chamber members to enjoy a beautiful day of golf and mingle afterwards with the new "après golf" format we used. The clubhouse at RedCrest was the perfect backdrop for our event with seating both inside and outside on the huge patio. RedCrest did a great job with the various food stations that were set up - certainly enjoyed by all!
A very special thanks to our corporate sponsors, hole sponsors and prize donors who ensured our event was a success! It was nice to have Matthew Penstone join us again as MC and auctioneer – great job as always.
I would especially like to thank the members of my Golf Committee for sharing in the organizing and planning of this event - without their help it just wouldn't be the same: Co-Chair Laurie MacDonald, Diane Buchanan, Donna Gerrits, Lee Helkie, Steve Hinder, Mike Dinner, and Mike McDermott. A special thank you to the Chamber staff: Nancy Eveleigh Brown (who kept us all on schedule!), Caroline Rusnell and Judy Marshall.
Thanks to RedCrest for making our tournament a success. The staff were all wonderful to deal with and helpful in every way. The food and service were first rate and the details around the tournament and course set up was efficient and well run.
