Members of the local business community are encouraged to participate. If you would like to serve on a committee, please express your interest in becoming a volunteer.
Purpose: To advocate on behalf of the membership regarding the critical issues that affect their bottom line. The committee provides a forum for members to advance concerns, develop policy positions, advocate for change and network with government officials and other business leaders. The Committee keeps members and the Board advised of legislative proposals and actions.
Purpose: To review the annual budget prior to presentation to the Board to ensure it supports the mission, vision and strategic goals of the Chamber, monitor financial performance against the budget and provide advice on investment policies and significant financial management issues.
Purpose: To serve as the nominating committee for the Board, orient new board members, identify knowledge gaps on the Board, identify issues with the Board related to conflict of interest and Board discipline, and provide initial input on the bylaws and Board policies.
Purpose: To increase and broaden awareness of the Chamber and its programs and services through news media, internet and social marketing tools, and position the Chamber as a valuable, innovative and inclusive organization.
Business Excellence Awards Committee
Purpose: To provide advice and assist Chamber staff with the planning, organization and onsite implementation of the annual event.
Golf Classic Committee
Purpose: To assist Chamber staff with the planning, organization and onsite implementation of the annual event.
Home Show Committee
Purpose: To assist Chamber staff with the planning, organization and onsite implementation of the event.
Economic Development Advisory Committee – Town of Aurora
