2022/04/14 Aurora Chamber excited for next weekend’s home show

After losing two years due to the global pandemic, the Aurora Home & Living Show will return to the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex next weekend.

Set to take place at the SARC on Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., it will offer an array of vendors and activities for the whole family – and everything is free thanks to Community Admission Sponsor Kempenfelt Windows & Doors.

2021/11/15/ Need for workers bigger issue than minimum wage increase: Newmarket-Aurora MPP

The Ontario government has introduced legislation that would increase the province’s minimum wage from $14.35 to $15 effective Jan. 1.

It was an about-face from the current government, which cancelled a similar move by the previous government when they came to power in 2018, but while the move was welcomed by employees, the decision caught some employers by surprise, according to the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.
